Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that affects 1 in 10,000 females (and even more rarely in males) and begins to display itself in missed milestones or regression at 6-18 months. Rett syndrome leads to severe impairments, affecting nearly every aspect of life: ability to speak, walk, eat and breathe easily. The hallmark of Rett syndrome is near constant repetitive hand movements while awake. Cognitive assessment in children with Rett syndrome is complicated, but we know that they understand far more than they can communicate to us, evidenced by their bright and attentive eyes, and their ability to express a wide spectrum of moods and emotions.

Korrie is a bright and happy almost 5 year old girl. After spending almost 2 years trying to get answers as to why this sweet girl wasn't reaching her milestones, she was diagnosed with Rett syndrome just after her 3rd birthday.

Korrie has had many trials through all of this including a 2 week hospital stay due to severe muscle spasms a couple of months after her diagnosis where she also received a gtube so that she could get proper nutrition as she was only 17 pounds at 3 years old. Since then she is thriving and has doubled her size.

She still has so many obstacles but one that would help her tremendously is with her ability to communicate. The way to do this is with a device called an Eye Gaze. This would track her eyes as she looks at a screen to show what she wants/needs and would then speak for her. It is truly life changing for these kids.
Many wonderful friends and family have reached out to offer help and it’s time to help! Korrie is more than deserving, I haven’t met a little girl and family as sweet as they are.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for donating or even just reading more of her story and sharing. We love to spread awareness for Rett syndrome and these incredible kids that deal with it.

Korrie is our niece, so she is very special to us! We are donating all the proceeds to her and her family to get her her eye gazing machine, after that goal is reached, all additional funds will be donated to a local non profit Rett Organization.

Profits donated will all be posted as to what was raised and updated monthly.

Thanks so much, help us spread the word about our products for sale to go towards Korrie and other Rett Organizations, the more shares we get, the more sales we will get, the more is raised!! SHARE SHARE SHARE!
